The Red Gown

As I was arranging my closet, I found a lot of stuff tucked in the deepest and uppermost corner. I just realized that in all these stuff some are considered actually junk and some are still valuable.  Although I may not be able to have the opportunity to use these again, their memories still holds an integral part of my life.

One of my favorite dress is my Red Gown.  One reason why I like it so much is that I wore it when I got an award for my sales performance and another one is that most things that I like in a dress is in this one.  Obviously, I like red, I like lots of glitter and I felt like a princess when I wore it.  Even though the party is not that fun still walking down the carpet and had our pictures taken was the main highlight of the night.  We actually felt important.

Yes, this dress is not something designed and created by top designers but what makes this special is the thought that was put during its creation. What's important is that, this dress is ME!  I designed it, I bought the materials and I had it made. Yes, I must admit, I got a really good seamstress to do it for me since the only sewing that I do is when I am fixing the hems of my pants and not very good at that, I must admit.

Who knows, maybe someday, my RED glory will be put out of its storage and be put to good use again and give it back its dignity. :-)
